While that's nice for them, it doesn't encompass the huge variety of sellers which sell on Etsy. Some people are very vocal about not wanting to provide it and I've noticed on these forums they are normally sellers who are selling lower value goods, lighter weight goods, or goods which they only ship domestically. I'm with you, a phone number would be nice. Fortunately for me, most people do not have problem doing this. If after reading the listing they see that a phone number is required, they decide not to buy because they do not want to give phone number, that's fine. So thoroughly understand the OP's problem. If the person reads the listing & trying to get a phone number is a nightmare as many just do not respond to messages or emails about any subject. In relation to the OPs posting, I totally agree that people just do not read the listings (just had one customer cancelling as they didn't realise it was coming from France!). I post mainly to the US and haven't had anyone say that extra charges were requested via their telephone number. I have never heard this as a problem.Īs far as I'm concerned, I have paid the carrier, so there shouldn't be any extra charges for postage. I would not dream of charging more as I wouldn't want others to charge me more postage than what I would pay. I charge exactly what anyone can see on the Colissimo tariff on La Poste website- no more, sometimes less. It is explained in my FAQs section and also in each listing where Colissimo is going to be the carrier which it is for parcels over 2 kg or if it is an expensive item. I use Colissimo for parcels over 2 kg or for expensive items as it is insured & signature is required on delivery.Ĭolissimo & Chronopost are part of La Poste - French equivalent of Royal Mail - who require email address & the telephone contact number for deliveries outside of the EU.
